item_other=The Sniper mod can only be applied to ranged weapons. Up to three Sniper mods can added to a ranged weapon, but a third Sniper mod will have no additional effect. When applied to [[Shotgun Types|shotguns]], it increases their max range by 2 per mod. The Sniper mod can be added to weapons that exactly target a tile, such as any [[Big Gun Types|BFG]], or weapons with inherent autohit (i.e. the weapon will already 100% hit any enemy in its targeted path), such as the [[Tactical rocket launcher]], but this too will have no practical effect.
