Callisto Mines is a branch location accessible from Callisto L3.

Layout

Callisto Dig Site typically contains wide open terrain, with rectangular buildings that have a single entrance each. The outdoor areas contain hard cover in the form of crate walls, and forklifts which provide soft cover and can be broken for occasional armor shards.

Enemies

Callisto Dig Site contains a larger proportion of demon enemies (medusalings, fiends, reavers, and ravagers). Human enemies are present in a lower proportion, leading to potential shortages of ammo.

Events

Some levels in Callisto Dig Site will spawn as Caves, indicated by the floor mood "Twisted passageways carry the smell of death." These floors will contain _only_ demonic enemies, all of the same species (typically all fiends and fire fiends, but all medusalings or all reavers may be possible, depending on difficulty). In cave levels, loot is generated differently: there are no chests, and equipment drops are much more abundant.

Special Level

Callisto Dig Site L2 contains a staircase to Callisto Anomaly.
